GVSU improved to 2-1 on the season after picking up a big 85-76 road win against Lewis Tuesday (Nov. 19) night in Romeoville, Illinois. The Lakers knocked down 15 three-pointers with 12 coming in the second half. Trevon gunter led the Lakers with 19 points on a perfect 7-7 shooting and 4-4 from behind the arc. KK Brown scored 15 points with five made three-pointers all in the second half. 
 
GVSU is averaging 85 points per game through the first three games of the season on 54% shooting from the field and 43% shooting from three. The Lakers are outrebounding their opponents through the first three games 106-75 for a 35.5-25 average a game. 
 
Brown leads GVSU averaging 12 points a game on 44% shooting from the field and 42.9% shooting from three. Mason Docks is averaging 10.3 points and leads GVSU with 17 assists. Ethan Alderink has notched 10 points a game on 47.8% shooting from the field and 42.9% shooting from three. 
 
Malone is 3-2 to start the season and are heading into Saturday's game on a three-game winning streak. The Pioneers are coming off an 80-44 win against Bryant and Stratton College. Malone is averaging 78 points a game on 49% shooting from the field and 38% shooting from three. 
 
Ryan Bartley leads the Pioneers in scoring averaging 16.2 points on 56% shooting and 54% shooting from behind the arc, while also grabbing 4.2 rebounds a game. Simon Blair has notched 14.4 points on 46% shooting from the field and leads Malone with 21 assists. ED Wright II is scoring 13.2 points a contest on 45% shooting from the field.
