2024 Senior Class
The 2024 GVSU senior class is 42-6 overall heading into the regular season finale. This group has an opportunity to win 10 games or more in a season for the fourth consecutive year. It would mark the eighth time in program history that a freshman class won 10 or more games in a season for four consecutive years.

• GVSU held Michigan Tech to 100 yards of total offense, the fifth-lowest total in Laker football history for an opponent in a game.
• The Laker pass defense limited Michigan Tech to 36 passing yards, the 12th lowest total for an opponent in GVSU football history.
• The GVSU defense did not allow Northern Michigan to complete one pass last Saturday (Oct. 12). It marked the first time in Laker football history that an opponent did not complete a pass and had zero yards passing.

• Sophomore QB
Vinnie Meschi was named the GLIAC Player of the Week in his first collegiate start. Meschi completed 8-of-14 passes for 200 yards and two TDs in first half.

Anthony Cardamone was named the GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week following his 11 tackle, 2.0 TFL and 1.0 QB sack outing at Saginaw Valley State.

Evan Sundermann was named the GLIAC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance at SVSU. Sundermann averaged 45.6 ypg, dropped two at the Cardinal 1 yard line, two more inside the 20 with a long of 58 yards.

Kellen Reed was named the GLIAC Special Teams Player of the Week after returning the opening kickoff 92 for a TD vs. Northern Michigan. Reed added another KO return for a TD that was called back due to a penalty and he was credidted with 32 yards.

Khalil Eichelberger was named the GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week after rushing for 129 yards and two TDs on 15 carries vs. #20 West Florida.

Trace Hrgich was named the GLIAC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance at CSU-Pueblo. Hrgich averaged 46.5 yards on eight punts, dropping four inside the 20 yard line and two inside the 10 yard line. Hrgich ranks eighth in the country.

Josh Schell set a record record for pass deflections in a game with four vs. Wayne State.
