Grand Valley State dropped a 34-7 decision at Lubbers Stadium to Ferris State before a crowd 16,332, the fifth largest in Lubbers Stadium history. The Lakers fall to 7-1 overall and 3-1 in GLIAC action, while Ferris State improves to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in GLIAC action.
The Bulldogs scored 24 points off three GVSU turnovers, a kickoff return deep into Laker territory after GVSU scored its only touchdown of the day to pull within 13-7, and a blocked punt. Ferris State did not commit a turnover and converted 8-of-16 third and fourth downs.

Cody Tierney scored the Lakers' only touchdown on a 45-yard run at the 12:09 mark of the third quarter to complete a 6-play, 75-yard scoring drive.
Tierney led the ground game with 52 yards on two carries, while senior QB
Avery Moore rushed for 43 yards on seven carries before leaving the game after a brutal face mask. Four Laker quarterbacks completed 6-of-19 passes for 74 yards, while the Laker offense rushed for 155 yards.
