KENOSHA, Wis. – The No. 22 Grand Valley State women's soccer team defeated Parkside 1-0 on the road Sunday (Sept. 24) afternoon. The Lakers improve to 5-1-2, 3-0-1 in the GLIAC and are now 4-0 away from home this season.
The Lakers and Rangers played a scoreless first half with GVSU dominating most of the possession. The Lakers notched 17 shots with four on goal to one lone Ranger shot.

Avery Lockwood each notched three shots in the half.
In the second half, the Lakers continues to dominate most of the possession and found the back of the net early in the 47
th minute.
Emma Chudik notched her fourth goal of the weekend off a pass inserted into the box by
Kacy Lauer. Chudik was there in the middle of the box to kick it home with the right foot to the top right of the goal for her fifth of the season, while Lauer picked up her first assist of the season.
GVSU recorded a season high 32 shots in the win with 14 on goal, while Parkside notched five shots with just one on goal. The Lakers produced nine corner kicks to the Rangers two.
Emma Chudik scored her fifth goal of the season and first game-winning goal, while Lauer dished out her first assist and played all 90 minutes in the field.
Ryann Fetty led the Lakers with five shots, while four Lakers had four shots and one with three shots.

Isabel Imes got the start in goal for the Lakers and made one save on the only shot she faced. Imes improved to 3-0-1 on the season.
The Lakers will continue their GLIAC schedule next weekend when they travel to the Upper Peninsula to take on Northern Michigan on Friday (Sept. 29) at 3:00 PM in Marquette before traveling to Houghton to face Michigan Tech at 12:00 PM.
