No. 13 Women’s Soccer Plays to Scoreless Draw at No. 18 Northern Michigan

MARQUETTE, Mich. – The No. 12 Grand Valley State women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw at No. 18 Northern Michigan Friday (Sept. 29) afternoon in Marquette, Michigan. The Lakers are now 5-1-3 on the season and 3-0-2 in the GLIAC.
 
Northern Michigan outshot the Lakers 12-5, 5-1 on goal. The Lakers produced two corner kicks and held the Wildcats to just one.
 
Senior Mackenzie Jones led the team with two shots and played all 90 minutes of play. Sophomore Sophia Morgan notched the only shot on goal, while Taylor Reid and Stephanie Sturgeon each recorded a shot. Goalkeeper Isabel Imes got the start in goal and made a career high five saves.
