KENOSHA, Wis. – The Grand Valley State baseball team closed out their four-game series at Parkside with a dominant 15-4 win at Historic Simmons Field. The Lakers improve to 19-9 on the season and 8-5 in GLIAC play.
Parkside got on the board first in the bottom of the second inning on an RBI single through the right side. The Lakers quickly responded in the next half inning with three runs to take a 3-1 lead.
Justin Mansager tied the game with an infield RBI single to score

Jonas Gulbrandsen gave the Lakers the lead with an RBI to score
Kyle Nott, and a Parkside error allowed Mansager to score from second.
The Lakers added to the lead in the fourth inning when McCormack launched a solo home run to center field for his second home run of the season. The Rangers answered in the bottom half of the inning with a two-run home run to cut the Laker lead to 4-3. GVSU responded with three runs in the fifth inning to take a 7-3 lead. Gulbrandsen singled to center field to score Nott making it 5-3. After
Brendan Guciardo singled to advance Gulbrandsen to third, Gulbrandsen stole home making it 6-3.
Connor Schuman doubled down the left field line to score Guciardo. Parkside got one run back to make it 7-4 in the bottom half of the inning.
In the eighth inning, the Lakers exploded for six runs to take a commanding 13-4 lead. McCormack led off the inning with a solo shot to center field for his second of the game and third of the season. Later in the inning, Gulbrandsen walked with the bases loased scoring Nott. Next batter,
Brendan Guciardo notched an RBI infield single to score Mansager followed by a Schuman RBI single that scored Logan and a fielding error that allowed Gulbrandsen to score.
The Lakers added two runs in the ninth to make it 15-4. Gulbrandsen doubled to left field to score Nott.
Nick Krstich notched his first collegiate RBI on a bases loaded walk scoring

Kyle Nott went 1-1 with four runs scored and a GVSU and GLIAC single-game record five walks.
Jonas Gulbrandsen went 2-5 with four runs batted in and two runs scored.
Connor Schuman hit 3-5 with a double and two RBI's.
Conner McCormack launched two home runs and scored three runs, while
Justin Mansager hit 2-5 with two runs scored and an RBI.
Rylan Peets started on the mound and earned the win to improve to 2-1 on the season. Peets tossed five innings allowing four runs (three earned) off seven hits striking out six.
Josh Schell tossed two scoreless innings of relief allowing just one hit with two strikeouts. Freshman
Ayden VanEnkevort made his collegiate pitching debut and tossed a scoreless inning of relief.
Will Goebel tossed an inning of relief recording two strikeouts.
