SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – The Grand Valley State men's tennis team fell 5-2 at Lake Superior State Saturday (April 15) afternoon to close out the regular season. The Lakers dropped to 11-8 on the season and 2-3 in GLIAC play.
Lake Superior State swept the doubles point to claim the point,
Unai Gonzalez and
Sean Miller dropped a tough 4-6 decision at No. 1 doubles.
Martin Matov and
Ignasi Garros fell 4-6 at No. 2 doubles, while
Sebastian Arce and
Freddy Cossio dropped a tough 3-6 decision at No. 3 doubles.
On the singles side, Sean miller claimed a 7-6, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles.
Freddy Cossio earned 7-6, 4-6, 11-9 at No. 5 singles.
Unai Gonzalez dropped a tough 3-6, 7-5, 5-7 three-set decision at No. 1 singles.
Sebastian Arce fell 3-6, 1-6 at No. 2 singles.
Denys Zamaraiev dropped a tough 3-6, 4-6 decision at no. 4 singles.
Ignacio Morera-Lucas dropped a tough 4-6, 1-6 decision at no. 6 singles.
