GVSU took care of business on the road to end the month of November. They used a second half comeback to take down Findlay 58-53, then followed that up with a dominating 113-56 victory over Central State. Most recently, GVSU withstood a late Northwood comeback to defeat the Timberwolves 75-71. In the victory over Northwood, five Lakers scored in double-figures, led by Paige Vanstee with 14. Rylie Bisballe recorded her first double-double of the season, tallying 10 points and 10 rebounds. By notching all three of those wins, the Lakers have begun their season at 5-0 for the third straight year.

This game marks just the second time GVSU and D'Youville have matched up, with the first time being last season. In that game, the Lakers came out with an 84-43 victory over the Saints. Ellie Droste scored 12 points and Avery Zeinstra added a then career-high 11 pionts and five assists. The Lakers shot 50% from the field, forced 19 turnovers, and held the Saints to just 26.8% shooting in the win.

This season, D'Youville has gotten off to a 2-3 start, winning their conference opener over Roberts Wesleyan this past Wednesday. The Saints haven't shot well to begin the season, making only 38% from the field and just 28% from deep. Despite that, they have outrebounded their opponents and forced 14 turnovers a game, scoring 12 points off those turnovers. Individually, junior guard Anna Jankovic is averaging a near double-double, scoring 14.2 points and grabbing 8.6 rebounds, both team highs. Additionally, Stella Mollica is averaging 11.4 points and dishing out almost four assists a game as the teams point guard.
