ALLENDALE—The Grand Valley State men's basketball team lost to Wayne State, 73-62, on Thursday night inside of the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena.

Marius Grazulis led the Lakers with 15 points on a 6-for-12 night from the floor. Grazulis also led GVSU in rebounds with seven boards on the night. Grazulis has been on a tear over the Lakers' last seven games. The Marquette native is averaging 12.14 points and 6.86 rebounds over GVSU's last seven games dating back to Dec. 6 against Quincy.

Britain Harris led the Lakers in assists with three. Harris also led GVSU in 3-point makes with a pair of made 3-pointers.Â

The Lakers took a 39-34 lead into halftime after shooting 51.6 percent from the floor and 50 percent from distance in the first half.

GVSUÂ (8-8, 2-4 GLIAC) won the battle on the glass, outrebounding Wayne State, 35-32. The Lakers also outscored the Warriors (6-7, 3-3) in the paint, 34-26, and the GVSU bench scored 32 points compared to Wayne State's bench which only gave it six points.

The Lakers complete the weekend of action at 3 p.m. on Saturday when they take on Saginaw Valley State inside of the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena.
