Christian McCarroll has been named the GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week. McCarroll played a key role in the #2 Lakers' 48-9 victory at Wayne State with three tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss (-18), 1.0 QB sacks (-4) and a caused fumble. The Laker defense held Wayne State to 54 rushing yards, 33 of which came on a QB scramble, marking the fourth consecutive game that GVSU has held its opponent to under 100 rushing yards.
