Grand Valley State dropped a 3-2 decision to Parkside Friday afternoon at the Laker Baseball Field in 12 innings. The teams will square off in a GLIAC doubleheader Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m.
The Lakers got on the board in the bottom of the first with a solo HR to right off the bat of LF
Kyle Nott. Parkside tied the game in the fourth, but the Lakers regained the lead with a run in the bottom half of the inning. CF
Spencer Nelson walked and moved to third on a bunt single from 1B Nate Logan. Nelson then scored on an error by the pitcher during a failed pickoff attempt. Parkside tied the game in the eighth with a solo HR and then scored in the top of the 12.
Nott was 2-for-5 with a homerun, a run scored and an RBI, while Logan, SS
