ALLENDALE, Mich. - The Grand Valley State men's track and field team appeared on the podium 10 times with five first-place finishes on day two of the GLIAC Outdoor Championships.
Eli Kosiba broke the school record with a first-place finish in the men's high jump clearing a height of 2.20m.
Hunter Harding won the hammer throw with a distance of 64.36m.
Bobby Maxwell won the the javelin throw with a personal-best distance of 59.97m.
Jacob Urban claimed two top-three spots in the field events on Thursday. Urban placed second in the javelin throw with a distance of 58.05m, and third in the hammer throw with a distance of 62.02m.
Men's pole vaulter,
Wyatt Alwine placed first clearing the bar at a personal-best height of 4.61m on his first-attempt.
James Nutt placed third in pole vault clearing 4.61m on his second-attempt. On the track,
Caleb Futter clocked in first in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:06.96. GVSU men lead at the end of day one with 122 points, the women are in second with 51 points.
On the women's team,
Judith Essemiah claimed her second consecutive conference championship in the hammer throw with a season-best distance of 62.99m.
Landyn Howell won the 3000m steeplechase with a personal-best time of 10:47.44.,
Analynne Klotz placed second with a time of 10:56.72.
Emma Everhart-Deckard placed second in the 10,000m with a time 35:53.34.
