GARY, Ind. - The Grand Valley State baseball team fell to Purdue Northwest 11-3 in the GLIAC Tournament Friday (May 13) at U.S. Steel Yard Stadium in Gary, Indiana. The Lakers were eliminated from the Tournament with the loss and finished the season with a 30-20 record.
Both teams were scorless after the first five innings before Purdue Northwest scored six runs in the top of the sixth. Purdue Northwest added another run in the seventh off a solo home run to take a 7-0 lead. The Lakers answered in the bottom half of the frame with three runs. Junior
