The No. 2 Grand Valley State women's basketball team will open the 2022 GLIAC Women's Basketball Tournament at home as they host the Northern Michigan Wildcats on Wednesday, March 2 in the GVSU Fieldhouse. Tip off is set for 6:00 p.m. 

The 25-1 Lakers wrapped up the regular season with a win over Saginaw Valley on Saturday and have now won 20 consecutive games this season, just two shy of the program record. GVSU finished the regular season with an impressive 18-1 conference record, clinching the GLIAC title after their win against Davenport this year. Northern Michigan finished their regular season at 12-15 (7-13 in the GLIAC) after falling to Ferris State on Saturday.  

A reminder that Grand Valley State requires masks to be worn in the Fieldhouse at all times and that the GVSU only accepts credit/debit (no cash).  If the Lakers win on Wednesday, the remainder of the GLIAC Tournament will be hosted at the GVSU Fieldhouse on Saturday for the semifinals and on Sunday for the championship game.
