The Grand Valley State men's tennis team claimed a 7-0 win over Grace College Saturday (Feb. 26). The Lakers have won three straight dual matches by the score of 7-0 and have improved to 6-1 on the season.
GVSU dominated the doubles side, claiming the doubles point with wins at all three positions.
Sebastian Arce and
Josep Canyadell claimed a 6-2 win at No.1 doubles.
Freddy Cossio and
Tomas Oliveira tallied a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles, while
Sean Miller and
Martin Matov chipped in a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles.
On the singles side, Sebestian Arce claimed a 6-3 ,7-6 win at No. 1 singles.
Tomas Oliveira tallied a straight set 6-3, 6-4 win at No.2 singles.
Martin Matov earned at hard fought 5-7, 7-6, 10-3 win at No. 3 singles.
Freddy Cossio claimed a 6-2, 6-3 win win at No. 4 singles.
Jack Dausman tallied a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 5 singles, while
Ignacio Morera-Lucas chipped in a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles.
The Lakers will travel to Mobile, Alabama for a dual match against Spring Hill College on Sunday, March 6th.
