The Grand Valley State dominated the NCAA Division II Midwest Regionals in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Saturday, Nov. 19th. The Lakers won both the men's and women's Midwest Regional Championship titles and secured a spot in the NCAA Division II National Championships in Seattle, Washington on December 2nd.
The women's team claimed their 21st consecutive Midwest Regional title, recording an overall team score of 31 points and dominating the Top five. The Lakers recorded a 1, 2, 3 finish led by
Klaudia O'Malley who finished first with a time of 21:19:17.
Lauren Kiley and
Natalie Graber finished second and third for the Lakers with a time of 21:28:65 (Kiley) and 21:29:16 (Graber).
The Laker women added to their victory with six All-Region honors earned on the day.

Kayce Rypma (14th) earned First-Team All-Region honors.
Landyn Howell finished 17th with a time of 22:03.34, earning Second-Team All-Region honors.
The men's team claimed their 20th consecutive NCAA Midwest Regional title finishing with an overall team score of 58 points.
Tanner Chada and
Caleb Futter led the Lakers to victory finishing second and third. Chada crossed the line with a time of 30:48.30, followed by Futter with a time of 30:53.67.
Three Laker men were awarded First-Team All-Region honors, including Chada and Futter.
Sam Martens fiished 14th with a time of 31:34.71 to earn First-Team All-Region honors.
Brock Wooderson finished 19th in a time of 31:44.79, while
Daniel Lambert crossed 20th in 31:45.00, both earning Second-Team All-Region honors.
Grand Valley State travels to Seattle, Washington on December 2nd to compete at the NCAA Division II National Championship.
