LANSING, Mich. – The Grand Valley State baseball team fell in the GLIAC Tournament finals to Davenport, 9-1, on Sunday afternoon at Jackson Field. The Lakers conclude the season with a record of 24-15 and finished the year winning 11 out of their last 13 games.
After winning a pair of games on the brink of elimination yesterday, the Lakers carried that momentum into today, scoring first in the second inning on an

Davenport scored three runs in the third and one run in the sixth to increase their lead to 5-1. The Laker bats could not push across another run and the Panthers put the game out of reach in the sixth inning, plating three more runs.
Ben Thomas got the start for the Lakers, while
Michael Barno,
Nathan Wargolet,
Nick Shaw, and
Cade Cintorino all threw in relief.
Ryan Blake-Jones led the Lakers with two hits, while
Kyle Nott,
Christian Faust, and Cocco each recorded hits.
