Grand Valley State claimed a 6-1GLIAC road win over Michigan Tech at the Gates Tennis Center in Houghton, Michigan. GVSU improves to 11-4 overall and 6-2 in GLIAC action. The Lakers will be at Lake Superior State for a  9 a.m. GLIAC match Saturday (April 17).

The Lakers claimed the doubles point with wins by Vera Griva/Taylor Barrett (6-4) at No. 2 doubles and Vasileia Griva/Liv Hanover (6-0) at No. 3 doubles. The No. 1 doubles team of Marily Canellopoulos/Marija Leko dropped a 7-5 decision. 

GVSU claimed wins at five of six singles positions. Vera Griva claimed a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 1, followed by a 6-1, 6-1 win by Taylor Barrett at No. 2 singles. Marija Leko added a 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles, Vasileia Griva tallied a 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 5 and Liv Hanover closed with a 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 6 spot. Marily Canellopoulos fell in a tight match at No. 4 singles (6-4, 2-6, 5-10).
