HAMMOND, Ind. – The Grand Valley State men's basketball team fell in the GLIAC Tournament semifinals, 65-59, to the Michigan Tech Huskies Friday (March 5) at John Friend Court. The Lakers are 12-7 and await their fate in Sunday's selection show.
It was never more than a one-possession game in the first half until, with the game tied 30-30, the Huskies rattled off back-to-back buckets to go up 34-30 at the break. The teams traded runs, and the Lakers kept it close, but could never find the final pieces of the comeback.
The Lakers await their fate in the NCAA Tournament selection show on Sunday (March 7) to determine if their season continues. GVSULakers.com and @GVSUBasketball on social media will have updates as they happen.
