Grand Valley State (8-2) will host #20 Michigan Tech (7-1) in volleyball action Friday (Mar. 26) at 7 p.m. and Saturday (Mar. 27) at 4 p.m. All the action can be viewed live on the Grand Valley Sports Network or via live stats on GVSUlakers.com. GVSU has won six of its last seven matches, while the Huskies come in on a five-match winning streak. 

The Lakers tallied a pair of 3-0 sweeps over preseason South Division top pick Ashland last week, hitting .244 with 94 kills and just 20 errors. In addition, GVSU notched a combined 26 blocks and limited the Eagles to a .121 attack percentage and 71 kills. The Lakers are hitting .197 on the season, while opponents come in with a .121 attack percentage. Another key figure for GVSU is the 2.49 blocks per game average. 

A balanced GVSU offensive attack is let by by Ali Thompson (98) and Jaelianna Primus (93), while Karli Kucharczyk (69), Jayla Wesley (56), Abby Graham (45) and and Sarah Wright (34) all average 1.22 kills per game or more. Primus (50), Wesley (25), Wright (20), Thompson (10) and Kucharczyk (10) all have 10 total blocks or more on the season. Setter Rachel Jacquay (372) will be joined by Erin O'Leary who was cleared to play versus Ashland and tallied 13 assists in Saturday's matchup with Ashland. 

Michigan Tech comes in with an attack percentage of .288 and a 15.2 kills per game average, both tops in the GLIAC. The Huskies are formable in the block game (2.27 pg) and play solid defense with 16.7 digs per game. Individually, MTU is led by Laura De Marchi, 3-time GLIAC setter of the Year and Olivia Ghormley, 2-time Attacker of the Year.
