BIG RAPIDS, Mich. — The Grand Valley State Lakers earned a weekend split with the Ferris State Bulldogs in a 70-51 win at Jim Wink Arena Saturday afternoon. The Lakers improve to 5-4 in GLIAC play.

Deleon Brown led the Lakers with a season-high 20 points and six rebounds. Jordan Harris flirted with a triple-double, scoring 14 points with nine rebounds and seven assists while Christian Negron added 12 points and seven boards.

A tight start to the game saw the Lakers trailing, 18-15, midway through the first half. A couple minutes later, Brown would drill a three to put the Lakers ahead 20-19 in what would spark a 16-0 run that led to a 35-22 lead at halftime, and the Lakers would never look back.

GVSU returns home Tuesday (Feb. 9) to host Wayne State at 4 PM in a make-up for last weekend's cancellations. GVSULakers.com will provide live coverage links.
