DETROIT, Mich. – The Grand Valley State volleyball team will travel to Detroit to take on Wayne State in a two-game series beginning Thursday night at 6:00 PM. The two teams will meet again on Friday afternoon at 1:00 PM.

Jaelianna Primus recorded 15 kills and 14 total blocks across the two matches, and her 2.33 blocks per set is currently the best in the nation. In addition, GVSU as a team leads the country in blocks per set (4.00). Junior
Ali Thompson tallied 13 kills in Friday's match before fellow junior
Abby Graham totaled 11 kills in Saturday's win. Setter
Rachel Jacquay helped the Lakers finish the weekend with a .250 attack percentage by dishing out 59 total assists.
Wayne State also comes into the matchup with a 2-0 record after sweeping Purdue Northwest. The Warriors boast the reining GLIAC South Player of the Week, Taylor Wagner, who finished the two games with 25 kills and a .387 attack percentage. Wayne State currently leads the conference in aces per set (2.17) and ranks third in attack percentage (.242) and blocks per set (2.33). Last season, the Warriors won both matches against GVSU and finished 9-7 in the GLIAC and 17-12 overall
