Lakers On The Road to Purdue Northwest

GVSU Volleyball Looking to extend 9-0 series record over PNW

The Grand Valley State volleyball team is back on the road this weekend as they travel to Purdue Northwest on Saturday, Nov. 6. After coming off of a big win over the Davenport Panthers last Saturday, the Lakers are currently 8-4 in GLIAC play and 15-8 overall. 

GVSU is second in the GLIAC in kills (1146), assists (1038), blocks (178), and third in digs (3153) this season. Junior setter Rachel Jacquay is first in the GLIAC in assists with 911 assists this year. Junior Sarah Wight is fourth in the GLIAC in blocks per set (0.95) and senior Ali Thompson is fifth in the GLIAC in kills this season (247). 

Earlier this season, the Lakers hosted the Pride and won in three sets (25-13, 31-29, 25-13). Purdue Northwest will host the Lakers on Saturday, Nov. 6, at 3:00 p.m. at the gym on their Westville campus. Since Purdue Northwest joined the GLIAC in 2017, the Lakers are 9-0 in the series. PNW is 2-20 and 0-11 in conference play this season.
