The Grand Valley State women's basketball team is on the road this weekend as they travel to University of Findlay on Sunday, Nov. 21. The Lakers tip off against the Oilers at 1:00 p.m.
The Lakers are 2-0 on the season after defeating the University of Missouri-St. Louis and Maryville last weekend at home. GVSU's win over UMSL on Friday was led by senior Emily Spitzley, who finished with 20 points and six rebounds. The Lakers' 30-point win over Maryville was led by senior Hannah Kulas, who finished with 24 points while shooting 62% from the floor and 80% (4-5) from behind the arc.
This will be the Lakers first regular season road game of the season and the first Laker-Oiler matchup since 2019. GVSU defeated the Oilers at home in an 88-63 victory. Findlay is off to a 1-2 start after defeating the Davenport Panthers on Friday, Nov. 19, in a buzzer-beater overtime victory. The Lakers lead the overall series against the Oilers 16-7.
