Allendale, Mich. -- The No. 1 Grand Valley State women's soccer team fell in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament Sunday (Nov. 14) to No. 24 Ferris State, 1-0, at the GVSU Soccer Field. The loss snaps a streak of 15 consecutive GLIAC Tournament championships and drops GVSU to 18-1-1 on the season. 

The Lakers out-shot Ferris and held the Bulldogs to a lone shot on goal, but the Bulldogs were able to convert in the 42' after a failed clear attempt on a ball served into the box. The Lakers are still in prime position to host tthe opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament. The seleciton show airs Monday (Nov. 15) at 6:00 PM on ncaa.com.
