GVSU wraps up annual Bob Eubanks Open

Lakers head to Ann Arbor for Wolverine Invitational tomorrow

Final Results

ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Grand Valley State track and field teams concluded the annual GVSU Bob Eubanks Open for their first meet of the new year.  Both squads showed a strong performance in the field events, including a couple of first place finishes by the women.
 
NCAA Division II reigning weight throw champion, Bobbie Goodwin, collected a first place title and provisional mark with her launch of 18.98m in the weight throw.  Erika Lechner also earned a provisional qualification with her throw of 14.42m, good for first place in women's shot put. 
 
Angelica Floyd (5.31m) and Franesha Robinson-Mitchell (17.67m) both secured second place finishes in the long jump and weight throw, respectively. 
 
Emmanuel Arop led the Laker men in the track events with a third place finish in the 60m dash, crossing the line in 6.92 seconds.  Also earning third place on the men's side was Joshua Veldheer as he cleared 1.92m in the high jump.  Ryan Stefanko (3rd; 15.99m) and Brad Warman (6th; 15.17m) represented GVSU in the shot put.
