Lubbers Stadium is known to be home of one of the best game day experiences in the nation. GVSU Athletics takes pride in that reputation and is constantly looking at ways to add in that experience. This season there will be new food selections and a few changes to concessions operations as concessionaire Aramark - the concessionaire for all GVSU athletic venues - in partnership with GVSU Athletics, has responded to feedback from fans.  

"Last year our concession sales per game was the lowest since the expansion of Lubbers Stadium in 2012. We have been working with Aramark to create new ideas and convenience for our fans" said Doug Lipinski Deputy, AD for External Relations.  "We are super excited to introduce some concessions items for our fans this season. I would like to personally thank Paul Kramer and his team for their innovation of our fans' food experience."
 
The most visible change for 2019 will be a new pizza provider. Jet's Pizza will now be featured as the Official Pizza of Lubbers Stadium. Jet's Pizza will be available in both the North and South ends of the stadium.

With the addition of the Jamie Hosford Football Center, the north gate entrance and plaza area has been reconfigured which has allowed for an additional 1,600 square feet of concessions space. Using that additional space, Gourmet Concessions is being brought in to offer Laker fans new items such as: kettle corn, flavored popcorn, slushies, frozen lemonade, and hot beverages for those colder game days.
 
The North and South concessions stands will also feature:

• A new hot dog offering from the local Kent Quality Meats will be just $2.
• The new offering of Johnsonville brats served with a pretzel bun for $4.
• Reduced pricing for water and fountain Pepsi drinks.

"Our external team took a long look at our fan feedback. Concessions was one of the common themes. I am pleased we are able to address the feedback and create an even better experience for Laker Nation", said David Wynkoop, Marketing and Promotions Director. Additionally, Dippin' Dots will be introduced along the South concourse with an individual kiosk location.
