Day One of GLIAC Championships Wrap Up

Laker women are in first; men are in second

Day One Results

ALLENDALE, Mich. -- Day one of the GLIAC Championships have wrapped up in Allendale, with the Laker women leading the scoring and the men holding second place after the first day. Fifteen GVSU women qualified for finals in their respective events, while the Laker men qualified 12 individuals for finals.

GVSU saw first place finishes in both the men's 3000m Steeplechase from Jacob Domagalski (9:19:20) and the men's High Jump from Hunter Weeks (2.05m, 6' 8 3/4"). For the Laker women, Kyra Hull was the highest placing individual for GVSU, taking second in the Hammer Throw at 60.23m (197' 7"). 

Day two of the GLIAC Championships begins at 10:00 am tomorrow morning with the women's high jump, men's triple jump, men's shot put, and women's discus all starting at the same time.
