Grand Valley State will host Tiffin Saturday in the regular season finale at Lubbers Stadium Saturdy at 1 p.m. The Lakers enter the game 7-3 overall and 6-2 in GLIAC action, while Tiffin is 6-4 overall and 5-3 in GLIAC action. GVSU will celebrate Veterans Day with skydivers prior to kickoff and special "Dress White" uniforms.

• Junior RB Marty Carter became the Lakers' all-time leading rusher at Ferris State when he rushed for 139 yards. Carter passed James Berezik who rushed for 3,630 yards on 517 carries in 39 games. Carter, who has 3,728 rushing yards on 513 carries in 36 career games, has rushed for 931 yards and nine TDs on 122 carries in 2017. 

• Junior RB Marty Carter ws named the D2Football.com National Player of the Week and the GLIAC Player of the Week for his effort at Wayne State. Carter rushed for 218 yards and three TDs on just 11 carries, scoring on TD runs that covered 97, 68 and five yards. In addition, he caught two passes for 22 yards.

• The NCAA has revamped its regional map and Super Region 3 now consists of the GLIAC, the Midwest Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA), the Great America Conference (GAC) and the GLVC. The top seven schools advance to the NCAA Playoffs, with the top seeded team getting a first-round bye.

• Junior QB Bart Williams has completed 149-of-249 passes for 2,079 yards and 23 TDs this season. For his career, Williams has now thrown for 9,628 yards and 102 touchdowns. He is just the third QB in Laker football history to throw 100 touchdowns or more. Curt Anes tossed 114 TDs and Cullen Finnerty 110. 

• Senior WR Brandon Bean is having an outstanding senior season with 54 catches for 722 yards and seven TDs. Bean moved into 9th on the Lakers' all-time receiving list with 126 receptions for 1,999 yards and needs just two yards to become the 11th player to surpass the 2,000-yard receiving mark. 

• Senior tight end Nick Keizer came into his senior season with 16 catches for 230 yards and two TDs. During the 2017 campaign Keizer has 29 catches for 504 yards and nine TDs. 

• Senior LB Collin Schlosser continues to move up the all-time tackle list in Laker annals. Schlosser, who has 72 tackles this season, now has 282 career stops and is tied with former Laker great Dan Skuta who tallied 282 career tackles. 

• Senior Linebacker Garrett Pougnet has 73 tackles this season and 260 for his career, while senior safety Kyle Short moved past the 100 tackle mark for his career (110). 

• Grand Valley State senior LB Garrett Pougnet was named the GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts vs. Saginaw Valley State. Pougnet tallied six tackles (4 solo/2 assisted), one QB sack (-8), one tackle for loss (-8), returned an interception 29 yards and returned a fumble 37 yards for a touchdown.
