Day One Results
 
BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – The first day of the 2016 GLIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships is in the books and athlete Grace Peterson currently sits 10th in the women's heptathlon.
 
The only competitor for Grand Valley State on Wednesday, the junior Peterson scored 684 points for finishing 10th in the 100m hurdles, 632 points for tying for sixth in the high jump, 456 points for finishing 10th in the shot put, and 663 points for finishing 11th in the 200m dash.
 
Peterson and the rest of the heptathlon competitors will conclude the event on Thursday (May 5) beginning at 9:30 am with the long jump, then move over to the javelin throw at 10:50 am, and wrap it up with the 800m at noon.
