DAYTON, Ohio.-- The Grand Valley State women's basketball team was defeated 74-48 by Dayton in an exhibition game played on Sunday. The Lakers were led in scoring by
Lindsay Baker, who netted 11 points (3-9 3-PT), while
Taylor Lutz chipped in nine points and five rebounds. GVSU shot 23.6 percent (13-55) from the field overall in the game, while the Flyers shot 43.9 percent (29-66). Sunday's exhibition was the last tune-up for the Lakers ahead of their season opener at home against Quincy on November 12th at GVSU Fieldhouse Arena.
The Flyers Jayla Scaife led all scorers with 12 points.
