#14 Grand Valley State droppd a 61-24 decison to #5 Ferris State Saturday night at Lubbers Stadium. GVSU falls to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in GLIAC action, while Ferris State improves to 2-0. GVSU will hit the road for a GLIAC tilt at Lake Erie next Saturday.

Joel Schipper added the PAT. GVSU took a 10-7 lead following a Schipper career-long 46 yard field goal. Ferris State answered with a pair of TDs and a field goal to take a 24-10 lead with 2:36 left in the second quarter, but the Lakers answered again. Ferris State scored a pair of TDs late in the third quarter and added two in the final two minutes of the game.
Williams completed 14-of-31 passes for 227 yards and three TDs, while Bean recorded his second consecutive 100-yard receiving game with five catches for 134 yards and two TDs.
David Talley led the defense with 13 tackles and 2.0 tackles for loss.
Alton Voss added nine stops and a TFL.
