Complete ResultsALLENDALE, Mich. – The final day of National Championship qualification is in the books at the GVSU Last Chance Meet at the GVSU Track & Field Stadium, and 13 total members of the Grand Valley State men's and women's track & field teams hit NCAA qualifying marks.

This weekend is the final weekend for all track & field athletes to qualify for the 2015 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, held at Grand Valley State from May 21-23.

On the women's side, seven athletes hit NCAA provisional marks, meaning that they are not guaranteed a spot in the National Championship. Brenna Luba, running in the 400 meter hurdles, ran a time of 59.72 to place her eighth in the country. In the pole vault, GVSU had three vaulters hit provisional marks.
Alexandra Kitz, who has already hit an automatic qualifying mark this season, placed second with a mark of 3.89 meters. Tying for third with marks of 3.67 meters are
Whitney Bice and
Michaila Lawcock.

Rebecka Anderson, who sits eighth in the country in the javelin after her performance in the 2015 GLIAC Outdoor Championships, placed first in today's meet with a mark of 45.10 meters. Another top finisher today was
Laura Schroeder in the hammer throw. Schroeder, who hit an automatic mark at the 2015
Al Owens Classic, took second in the Last Chance Meet with a throw of 58.91 meters. The final Laker woman to hit a provisional mark was
Kaylyn Hill in the discus throw. Hill, who made a throw of 46.14 meters at this year's WKU Hilltopper Invitational, placed ninth with a mark of 44.32 meters.

For the men, six athletes hit provisional marks.
Gary Hickman, who previously ran a 14.28 at the GLIAC Championships, placed first today with a time of 14.51.
Samora Nesbitt hit a mark of 14.70 meters in the triple jump, while
Chris Saikalis took first in the shot put with a mark of 17.74 meters.
Darien Thornton, competing in two events on the day, hitting a mark of 16.63 meters in the shot put while making a throw of 64.18 meters in the hammer throw. Finally,
Mike Moon hit a provisional mark of 58.79 meters in the hammer throw.
