The Grand Valley State swimming and diving team competed at Northern Michigan versus the Wildcats and St. Cloud State Saturday afternoon. The Laker women claimed wins over NMU (157-143) and St. Cloud State (174-126), while the Laker men dropped a 154-146 decision to the Huskies. The Laker men and women will be in action next Friday (Nov. 21) and Saturday (Nov. 22) at the Doug Coers Invitational hosted by Ball State.
The Laker women won seven events, highlighted by freshman Sam Postmus winning three individual events (1000 free, 500 free and 200 IM) and junior
Taylor Wiercinski winning both diving events. In addition, Sarah Roesner won the 100 free and
Olivia Schultz won the 200 back. For the GVSU men,
Gianni Ferrero won the 200 free, 100 back and 100 free, while
Sven Kardol won the 200 fly, 200 back and 200 IM.
Milan Medo touched first in the 100 fly and
Tyler Keelean tallied a first-place finish on the 1-meter board.
