Results

GRANDVILLE, Mich. - The No. 23 Grand Valley State women's team dropped a tightly contested regional match against No. 47 Lewis, 5-4, on Monday afternoon at the Ramblewood Tennis Club.

The Lakers were only able to pick up one point in doubles with an 8-4 win at the No. 3 spot from sophomores Lexi Rice and Niki Shipman.

The deciding set was in the No. 3 spot where freshman Leah Dancz fell in three sets, 7-5, 2-6, 6-1 to Katie Hargrove.  Rice picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win at the No. 4 spot. In No. 5 singles, sophomore Anne Marie Morin won 6-2, 7-6 (7) over Brianna Markgraf, while in No. 6 Allison Fecko defeated Kendra Mills, 6-2, 6-1.

GVSU takes on Calvin on Wednesday, April 11 at 3:30 p.m. at the GVSU Tennis Courts.  Depending on the weather, the match could be moved indoors.  Stay tuned to GVSULakers.com for more information.
