Men's Tennis Defeats Coe 7-2 in Regular Season Finale

Grandville, Mich. - The Grand Valley State men's tennis team finished up their regular season against Coe on Friday (Apr. 22) at Ramblewood Tennis & Health Club, coming away with a 7-2 victory. The Lakers finish their regular season at 15-12 overall in dual match play. Senior Philipp Claus won his #2 singles flight 6-0, 2-6, 6-2 to finish the season on a 14-match individual winning streak and with a 24-9 overall singles record.

Freshman Andrew Darrell finished the season as the only other 20-game singles winner as he claimed his #3 singles match by a 6-2, 6-4 score to end the year with a 20-11 singles match record. Darrell and Claus won their final doubles match together by an 8-5 score, finishing their season with a 17-11 record together at #2 doubles.
