Grand Valley State's women's tennis team claimed the 2010 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship title after defeating Saginaw Valley State 8-1 on Tuesday (Oct. 19). This is the third GLIAC title for the Lakers and first since 1980. Grand Valley State picked up all three doubles matches and five singles matches to record the win. GVSU remains undefeated on the year with the victory and improves its record to 12-0 overall and 11-0 in GLIAC play.
The Lakers will compete at the GLIAC Championships this weekend (Oct. 22-24) in Midland, Mich. at the Midland Community Tennis Center. Grand Valley State will play Lake Superior State on Friday at 6:45 p.m. For all the information on the GLIAC Tournament, click on the link below.
