South Haven, Mich. - Grand Valley State carded an opening round 285 (-3) and is tied for fourth after the opening round at the Great Lakes Fall Regional in South Haven, Mich. at HawksHead Golf Course. Indianapolis is in first at 279, followed by Drury (284), Ferris State (284) and Grand Valley State. The second and final round will take place Monday.

Matt Malloure led the way for the Lakers with a -4 68 and is tied for third. Matt Johnson shot a -2 70 and is tied for 15th, while Tyler Hering is tied for 29th after shooting an even par 72. Ben Brooks and Josh Burt are tied for 54th after carding +3 75's.
