Lakers Compete in GVSU Invitational

Grand Valley State's men's tennis team played extremely well in the GVSU Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The Lakers will not play again until Oct. 18 when they travel to Indiana to face Indianapolis and Charleston.

Adam Sandusky won the Flight A singles by defeating his opponent, 6-3, 7-6 in the final match. Justin Sauerbrey fell in the finals of the Flight B singles, 6-1, 6-4, and Pete Schwallier dropped his finals match, 6-4, 6-4. Michael Bambini won the Flight D singles as he had no problem defeating his opponent, 6-0, 6-2.

On the doubles side, Michael Bambini and Adam Sandusky fell 8-1 in the second round of the Flight A Doubles. Nick Cron and Mike Rhoads won the Flight B Doubles bracket after winning their final match 8-4.
