#24 Grand Valley State swept GLIAC South Division foe Mercyhurst, 3-0 (30-9, 30-20, 30-14), Friday night. GVSU improves to 16-5 overall and 8-1 in GLIAC action. The Lakers will host Gannon University, Saturday, Oct. 11 at 4:00 p.m.

Melissa Reneski recorded a team-high 12 kills, 17 total attacks, a .706 hitting percentage, and seven digs. Sabrina Bird tallied 11 kills, 21 total attacks, three aces and two blocks, while Megan Helsen added 11 kills, three aces, and four digs. Nicole Bayle led the team with 30 assists and six digs, while Leah Kunz added 17 assists. Molly Young recorded a team-high 12 digs and Katie Horvath had 10 digs.

GVSU recorded a .430 attack percentage on the day, while holding Mercyhurst to just .019. The Lakers are 42-3 in GLIAC play, dating back to the 2001 season.
