Allendale, Mich. - #4 Grand Valley State rolled past #23 Northern Kentucky, 3-0 (30-28, 30-21, 30-27) in the GLIAC/GLVC Challenge on Friday night (Sept. 13) in Allendale, Mich. The Lakers tallied 52 kills and hit .352 as a team. GVSU is now 7-1 on the season while Nothern Kentucky drops to 2-4. The Lakers play two games tommorrow in the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena starting with Bellarmine at 12:30 pm and finish the tournament against SIU-Edwardsville at 5:30 pm.

Sophomore Elisa Joris and senior Carly Miller both tallied 14 kills to lead the Lakers. Joris also recorded a .619 attack percentage. Junior Nicole Bayle posted six kills, 40 assists, and seven digs and senior Chara Fehsenfeld added nine digs.

The Lakers have won 31-straight regular season matches in the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena.
