Dec. 5, 2002 - Grand Valley State's women's basketball team remains undefeated as they beat Mercyhurst, 56-41 Thursday. The Lakers improve to 7-0 overall and 2-0 in the GLIAC.

The score was tied at 24 at the half, but Grand Valley outscored Mercyhurst, 32-17 in the second half to seal the victory. Junior center Julie Zeeff recorded her fifth double-double of the season, scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Senior guard Laurie Rehmann had 13 points and Jennifer Nielsen added 11 points and three assists.

Grand Valley will play at Gannon University on Saturday at 1 p.m.
