Beatus threw a pair of complete game shutouts, allowing just seven combined singles and striking out 19, to go 2-0 on the week to capture the award. She threw seven strong innings on Wednesday on the road at Ferris State, allowing five hits – all of them singles including three on the infield – and a pair of walks while striking out nine. She then carried a no-hitter into the fifth inning on Saturday against Northwood before a pair of bloop singles in the inning. She would walk four while striking out 10 in the win to improve to 9-0 in GLIAC play.
