Biography

PRIOR TO GVSU
Three-year varsity letter earner at Magnificant High School, helping the Blue Streaks to back-to-back district runner-up finishes in 2017 and 2018. Russo was named team captain for the 2018 season. She also played for the basketball team in the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons.  With Cleveland FC she saw multiple club tournament championships including a Ohio North State Cup Runner-Up in 2012.  Her time with both Challenger FC and Cleveland FC saw great experiences in the USYS National League (formerly MRL).  Abby was also involved in the Olympic Development Program as a member of the Ohio State Team in 2014 and later a US Soccer Training Center invitee.
