2026 NCAA Championship: Abdelkarim competed in five events at the NCAA Championships. He was a member of the 200 medley relay (1:25.07) that placed sixth, 400 medley relay (3:10.13) that placid seventh, 200 free relay (1:19.16) that placed 11th, and the 400 free relay (2:55.13) that placed 12th. Abdelkarim touched the wall at 46.85 to take seventh in the 100 back. He was named an All-American. 

2026 GLIAC Championship: Abdelkarim competed in seven different events at the championships. He took home the GLIAC title in the 100 back with a time of 47.00 and took second in the 100 free with a time of 43.38. Abdelkarim took fourth in the 100 fly with a time of 47.56 and fifth in the 50 free with a time of 19.94. He was a member of the 200 medley relay (1:26.32) that placed first, 200 free relay (1:18.63) placed third, and 400 free relay (3:10.70) that placed first.
