Regulations for Baseball, Softball, and Tennis at Grand Valley State University are designed to be practical and functional for you to enjoy your visit in a safe manner.
Regular season events are free for patrons, seating is general admission.
Grand Valley State University reserves the right to remove a patron(s) if any GVSU policies are disregarded. All GVSU policies can be found at www.gvsu.edu/policies. The patron assumes all incidental risks inherent to the event, whether occurring before, during, or after actual play. When at our contests there is a reasonable expectation that fans could be a part of the video broadcast or in photography covering the event.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
- No long lens cameras, camcorders, or tripods.
- No artificial noisemakers.
- No promotional items unless distributed by GVSU Athletics or approved partner.
- No weapons.
- No illegal drugs including medical marijuana.
*Folding or camping chairs are allowed, but cannot block the view of other spectators.
SMOKING (AND VAPING) POLICY - As of May 1, 2025, GVSU is a smoke-free campus. For more information regarding smoking, visit

MARKETING / PROMOTIONS / SOLICITATION
GVSU has a no solicitation policy and reserves all marketing and promotions rights at its' events, including:
- Promotional vehicles and signs.
- Media rights (video, streaming, social, and audio).
- Any signage or promotional activities placed or conducted within or around the arena or parking areas used for athletic events on game day, without the express written consent of GVSU Athletics is prohibited and is grounds for immediate removal at the owner's or group's expense.
- Promotion of any business, venue, enterprise, product, service, organization not authorized by GVSU Athletics.
- In compliance with the GVSU Grounds and Facility Use Policy, no solicitation is allowed during events (pre-game, during game, or post-game). The offering or handing out of any item or flyer is not permitted without the written consent of GVSU Athletics.
- Only GVSU Athletics sponsors / partners may be granted the right to have a presence at its' venues.

FAN / PATRON CONDUCT
The NCAA, GLIAC and GVSU support good sportsmanship and will not tolerate abusive actions, language, or gestures from fans, athletes, coaches, or officials. Extreme or continued acts of unsportsmanlike behavior may be grounds for dismissal from the contest. Inappropriate language or actions directed towards GVSU Athletics personnel, ushers, or public safety officers will not be tolerated and may be grounds for immediate removal from the Kelly Family Sports Center or GVSU Property.
CONCESSIONS AND RESTROOMS
Baseball - Restrooms are located on the exterior south side of the Kelly Family Sports Center and porta johns are behind the third base dugout. Concessions are located along the third base line.
Softball - Restrooms are located on the exterior south side of the Kelly Family Sports Center. Concessions are located behind the first base dugout.
Tennis - Restrooms are located inside the Kelly Family Sports Center. Concessions are not available at tennis matches.
