Stepped into the ring ten times in his outdoor season, threw for a season best in the shot put of 14.34m at the Adidas Trojan Challenge. Also set a personal record of 55.88m in the discus throw at the GVSU Early Meet, which earned him a trip to nationals, where he threw a 57.72m personal record, placing him fourth in the country, second in program history, and earning All-American honors. His points in the discus throw helped contribute to the teams national title.
