MONROE, N.C. – The Grand Valley State women's golf team completed play at their first tournament of the spring, taking 12^th at the Jerry Surratt Memorial Invitational.

Wingate dominated the event, winning by 16 strokes, with a final score of -10. Dallas Baptist took second at +6, with Findlay third, shooting +16. Anderson finished fourth at +19, and Lee was one stroke back of them in fifth.
 
Lea Stotz put together a final round of 76 (+4) with one birdie to finish in 28^th, with a score of +28. Charlotte Goersch ended in a tie for 32^nd at +10 after her final round of 77 (+5). June Hsiao and Rachael Krieger were both tied for 50^th, ending at +15. Hsiao carded a final round of 73 (+1) with three birdies and Krieger shot a 77 with one birdie. Evelyn Park shot a final round of 83 (+11) to end at +17 in a tie for 59^th. Heida Rafnsdottir made one birdie in her round of 81 (+9), finishing in a tie for 80^th at +29.

GVSU will play next week at the UF Spring Invitational in Richmond, Kentucky. Play will begin on Monday.
