WASHINGTON, MICH. – The Grand Valley State women's golf team traveled to the east side of the state to take part in the Warrior Invitational at the Orchards Golf Course. After the opening two rounds of action, GVSU leads the field of 13 by six strokes, with three individuals in the top 10.
Results
The Lakers shot rounds of 294 and 293, ending at 587 for the opening two rounds, carding a +11. Findlay is in second, six strokes back at seventeen over par. In third is Davenport at +34, followed by Ferris State in fourth with a score of +38. The fifth team is Northwood, who shot +48 today.
Rachael Krieger and
June Hsiao are both atop the individual leaderboard, in a tie for first at one under par. Krieger carded rounds of 74 (+2) and 69 (-3), making 10 birdies over the two rounds. Hsiao sank six birdies across her rounds of 71 (-1) and 72 (E).
Lea Stotz is tied for sixth at five over after her rounds of 74 (+2) and 75 (+3), making five birdies. Following rounds of 75 (+3) and 77 (+5) with four birdies,
Charlotte Goersch is tied for 11
th at eight over.
Heida Rafnsdottir made three birdies in her rounds of 76 (+4) and 81 (+9), ending in 26
th at +13.
Skyler Tierney is tied for 46
th, carding a +21 with two birdies in her rounds of 82 (+10) and 83 (+11).
The Lakers tee off in the final round tomorrow morning.
