Women's Golf Wins East Regional Tournament

ALLENDALE, MICH. – For the eighth time in program history, the Grand Valley State women's golf team claimed an NCAA Regional championship. The Lakers led the 2025 East Regional wire-to-wire, finishing with an 11-stroke win.
 
Results
 
The Lakers by a 292 (+4) in the final round to end at +16. Findlay was second at twenty-seven over, followed by Ferris State in third at +59. Also punching their tickets to Nationals were fourth-place UIndy (+62) and fifth-place UMSL (+65).
 
Charlotte Goersch ended as the Regional runner-up, shooting a second straight round of even-par 72. She ended one stroke back of the lead at one over after making three birdies today. Olivia Stoll was tied for third at +4, making an eagle and four birdies in her round of 71 (-1) today. In a tie for seventh was Paula Badino, who carded a 78 (+7) with two birdies today, finishing the tournament at seven over. Shooting a round of 75 (+3) with three birdies was Megan Miron, who ended in a tie for ninth at nine over. One stroke back of her was Julia Sanchez in a tie for 11th. Sanchez carded a 74 (+2) today, sinking four birdies.
 
The Lakers now advance to the National Championships, starting Tuesday out in Boulder City, Nevada.
